Fuerteventura Golf Resort, Canary Islands


	The golf course situated in Caleta de Fuste is just 8 kilometers from the airport and was opened in 2002. In 2004 it hosted the Spanish Open raising the profile of Fuerteventura on television to an estimated 600 million homes around the world.
	The course is designed by Juan Catarimeau is around some stunning villas and apartments with the five star clubhouse of the Elba Palace Golf Resort Hotel taking an elevated position at the back of the course and offering fabulous views down to the beach resort of Caleta de Fuste.

	A fairly straightforward starting hole with a 10 metre dry gulley running across and in front of the green.		Stroke index 1, this has a fairly narrow fairway with a deep dry gulley to the left and out of bounds to your right, if you hit the ball straight…..no problem!
	A straight par 4 with the dry gulley that may have haunted you on the first two holes down the left hand side		A good par 3 but take care when the wind blows, bunkers right and left of a slightly oval green
	An important tee shot here with out of bounds to your right of this dog leg right par 5		A tight par 4 with out of bounds to your left and a stream all down the right side of fairway
	Another par 3 affected by the normal wind direction with a lake down the right protecting the green		Sharp dog leg left with out of bounds on your left protecting the practice area a stream down the right leading to a small lake to the right of the green
	Another sharp left dog leg bringing you back to the clubhouse		A long par 4 with out of bounds to your left and a tiered green
	A drive over the lake with plenty of bunkers just off the fairway, watch out for the bunker protecting the left of the green.		A long par 3 well protected by a lake to the left and a stream in front of green
	A big par 4 with a huge bunker protecting the green to front and right		This par 4 has out of bounds to the right a lake to the right and a small water filled gulley just 60 mts short of the green
	Protecting this tiered green there is a lake to the right and a stream running across the front		Dog leg left this stroke 18 should be treated with care down the left hand side
	Par 5 dog leg right this has out of bounds to both left and right the approach goes uphill to a tired green		From an elevated tee this dog leg left also provides a stunning view across the course leading down to the clubhouse

The Fuerteventura Golf Club, venue for the 2004 Spanish Open, offers a wide range of practice facilities. There are 30 bays with driving matts spanning out over a 150 metre wide range with a total legnth of 250 metres. Driving range balls cost 3 euros for 45 balls, tokens available at the pro shop. The caddie master supplies free use of clubs for the driving range. There is a large practice putting green for which there is no charge, as well as 2 chipping areas, one also with a practice bunker.

In our clubhouse, a five star hotel, you can count a high quality service in everything connected to food and beverage. Within our project there are many other bars, cafeterias and restaurants.

A delicious buffet with cold and hot dishes, as well as a highly selected menu, invite you to enjoy a tailor-made lunch.
